patrick heron
Patrick Heron (1920–1999) was a pioneering British abstract artist known for his bold use of color, form, and space. Deeply influenced by the landscapes of Cornwall and the modernist movements of the mid-20th century, Heron developed a distinctive style that merged lyrical abstraction with vibrant color fields.
His work explored the dynamic relationships between shape and surface, often blurring the line between figure and ground. A writer and critic as well as a painter, Heron remains a key figure in post-war British art.
