TIM JAEGER
Tim Jaeger is an accomplished painter and curator whose work is rooted in themes of place, memory, and community. Originally from Paducah, Kentucky, Jaeger earned his BFA from Ringling College of Art and Design, where he was recognized as a Trustee Scholar. For more than two decades, he has lived and worked in Sarasota, Florida, cultivating a practice that blends his personal studio work with leadership in the arts community.
His paintings—often inspired by the waters, wildlife, and rhythms of Florida—explore the intersection of abstraction and representation. Jaeger’s bold use of color, gesture, and layered forms evoke both the physical environment and the psychological undercurrents that shape human experience. He has exhibited widely across the United States and abroad, receiving recognition through residencies, fellowships, and awards, while also building lasting connections with collectors and institutions.
In addition to his studio practice, Jaeger serves as Director and Chief Curator of Galleries + Exhibitions at Ringling College of Art and Design, where he leads an ambitious program of exhibitions and educational initiatives. He is also co-owner of Sarasota’s 502 Gallery, where he collaborates with artists and the community to highlight dynamic and diverse voices. Through his painting and curatorial work, Jaeger remains deeply committed to fostering dialogue, creativity, and cultural engagement.
